Chee-Kit Lai – The Mobile Studio – UCL Bartlett U9

A graduate of the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, Chee-Kit is a visiting critic at a number of the UK’s leading universities including UCL, Central St Martins, University of Nottingham and University of Westminster. He is also an RIBA Awards Assessor.
Chee-Kit set up The Mobile Studio in 2008 after working with a variety of award-winning architecture practices. He is involved in all of the studio’s projects and works closely with clients helping them to achieve their aspirations in a personal and insightful way.
Chee-Kit is a keen runner and is fascinated by airports and air travel.

Alex Kaiser teaches Painting Architecture – A Media Studies course at the Architectural Association, London, where he teaches students in the art of architectural drawing and digital painting. He has also given workshops for units within the AA and D’Ecole Special d’Architecture in Paris and, through Drawing At Work, workshops for AHMM Architects, ORMS Architects, and RSHP.
Following studies at the Oxford Brookes School of Architecture and the Architectural Association, Kaiser brought his design, modelling, and visualisation skills to the London architecture offices of Rogers and Moxon Architects.
In Kaiser’s recently co-founded studio he is currently researching trans-media methods for design through drawing and painting. Experimenting with line beyond the representational and into fields from architecture and industrial design to beyond bio-mimetics.

Sergej Maier

Sergej Maier (AA Diploma) is a visualisation artist, with a background in fine art painting.
After graduating the AA in 2014 he has collaborated, taught and worked as a 3D and visualisation artist in Germany, Hong Kong, Thailand and the UK. His collaborative work has been exhibited internationally.
The work explores 2D and 3D representation of spaces, questioning the perception and depiction of narrative within architecture and art through the construction of the image.

Mond Qu

Mond Qu is a designer, maker and craftsman. His work explores the relationship between new technological production and physical objects. He is the founder of United Make, a radical design practice & experimental think tank, Mond has worked and taught design internationally, including London, Melbourne, Thailand and Shanghai.

Denis Vlieghe

Denis (M.Arch. High.Dist. – AA M.Arch. Architecture and Urbanism) is a fresh and forward-thinking architect, designer, researcher, and lecturer.

He has practiced, taught, and been exhibited internationally. He has worked with several renowned design practices such as Shigeru Ban Architects, Endo Shuhei Architects, Robofold, and participated in various competition entries such as the winning design of the Guangzhou Culture Center.

His strength resides in his ability to combine exceptional design skills with in-depth technical knowledge of software, hardware and fabrication methods, with applications in a wide range of projects of all scales.

Denis currently works at Grimshaw Architects and is associate lecturer at Oxford Brookes.
